MPSC prelims exam 2021 to be conducted on March 14

NEW DELHI: Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) on Monday announced revised dates for state civil service prelims examination.

The MPSC preliminary examination, which was scheduled to be held on October 11, 2020, whill now be conducted on Sunday, March 14, 2021.

The Maharashtra State Services examination will be conducted for the recruitment in various departments to the posts such as Block Development Officer (BDO), Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Deputy Collector, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies, Superintendent State Excise Department and Tahsildar.

MPSC 2021: Prelims Syllabus

There will be two papers – 1) General Studies (GS) and 2) Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT)

General Studies (GS)
Current affairs, History, Geography, Polity and governance, Economy, Social Development, Environment, Science.

(a) General mental ability, Basic numeracy
(b) LR (Logical reasoning) and analytical ability, Decision making and problem-solving
(c) English Comprehension, Interpersonal skills including communication skills, etc.

The MPSC Prelims Exam is an Objective Type exam of 400 Marks
