Korean beauty expert recommended skincare routines for dry, oily and acne-prone skin

Most of you might be sticking to the usual cleansing, toning and moisturising routine on a daily basis. But some people got introduced to the world of Korean beauty which has everything to do with BB creams, jelly cleansers, sheet masks, cushion compacts and so on. Over time, the Indian beauty market has introduced way too many serums, masks and essences. And it has become almost impossible to try to tackle specific concerns. Hence, we thought of simplifying it all for you according to your skin type. Here are some efficient solutions for oily, dry and acne-prone skin recommended by K-beauty experts.

– If you’re dealing with dry skin: You need to use a product that’s rich in linoleic acid like evening primrose oil. Use it in the morning as it is a lightweight product that provides quick-absorbing moisture to your skin without any greasiness. It even relieves skin inflammation caused by dryness. For the nighttime skincare routine, you can rely on ingredients like milk thistle extract that restores liver function. It is consumed as a supplement. It has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and immune control functions when it is applied to the skin.

– If you’re dealing with oily skin: In the morning, you can use a product that is infused with calamine. It helps in settling skin inflammation that is caused by excess oil. It even prevents secondary infections as well as soothes and calms the skin. For a nighttime routine, you can use products with PHAs (polyhydroxy acids) that works like AHAs and are quite gentle on the skin. Compared to AHA and BHA, PHA is a keratin care ingredient that is less irritating. It’s a water-soluble ingredient that supplies moisture to your skin.

– If you’re dealing with acne-prone skin: For a morning skincare routine, it is most effective to treat dryness that is caused by acne treatments by using hyaluronic acid. In the night, you can use Centella Asiatica extract which helps relieve and soothe your skin troubles. Tiger grass is a leafy herb that is quite well known in Asia. It can be used to rub on your acne wounds as it will help in skin regeneration.
