A few spectators were evicted from the Sydney Cricket Ground after Team India complained of alleged racial abuse for the second successive day of the third Test.
The issue came to light after the end of 86th over when India skipper Ajinkya Rahane went up to the square-leg umpire and Team India got into a huddle after alleged racial sledging from the stands.

The India players huddled in the centre after Siraj, standing at the square leg boundary, complained of abuse after being hit for two consecutive sixes by Cameron Green in his over.
Play came to a halt for close to 15 minutes with umpires having a discussion at the boundary line.

Eventually a group of men were escorted out of the stands by security officials.
Soon after that the play resumed.

Later, Cricket Australia also issued an apology related to the matter.
“Cricket Australia condemns in the strongest terms possible all discriminatory behaviour,” said Sean Carroll, Cricket Australia’s Head of Integrity and Security. “If you engage in racist abuse, you are not welcome in Australian cricket.
“CA is awaiting the outcome of the International Cricket Council’s investigation into the matter reported at the SCG on Saturday. Once those responsible are identified, CA will take the strongest measures possible under our Anti-Harassment Code, including lengthy bans, further sanctions and referral to NSW Police.
“As series hosts, we unreservedly apologise to our friends in the Indian cricket team and assure them we will prosecute the matter to its fullest extent.”
Earlier on Day 3, India officially lodged a complaint of racial abuse after stumps. Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj who were targetted by members of the Sydney crowd were also seen talking to Cricket Australia officials after end of play on Day 3.
