Due to pandemic, there were proposals that the entry-level admission in around 1700 private schools could be deferred. However, the private schools insisted that the admission should be held so the Directorate of Education has released the schedule on Wednesday. Earlier the admission process used to start in December itself.
Schools will have to upload the criteria list for admission by February 17 and no schools can deviate from the provided schedule.
The last date of form submission is March 4. The first admission list will be released on March 20. The schools will have to upload the list along with the points earned by each student.
This schedule is for general category seat admission in classes nursery, KG and I. For the 25%, EWS/DG category admission schedule will be released later.
This year too the upper age limit criteria will be followed. Up to 4 years for nursery, 5 years for KG and 6 years for class I. For each of this, it is a cap of March 31.
