Chinese soldier captured after crossing LAC, being investigated by Army | India News

NEW DELHI: A Chinese soldier was captured in the Gurung Hill area in the Chushul sector of eastern Ladakh in the early hours of Friday.
The Army says the PLA soldier is being dealt with as per laid down procedures and circumstances under which he had crossed the LAC are being investigated.
The PLA soldier had transgressed across the LAC and was taken into custody by Indian troops deployed in this area.
Troops from either side are deployed along the LAC since friction erupted last year due to unprecedented mobilisation and forward concentration by Chinese troops.
This is the second such case. In October, a PLA soldier, Corporal Wang Ya Long was apprehended after he inadvertently crossed the LAC in Demchok sector. He was handed over to China at the Chushul-Moldo border personnel meeting point on October 21 after two days in Indian custody.
